Friends,
Here is the wildlife count summary for Moonday, April 9th
9am Expedition: fog to the west, sun to the east
1 Gray Whale 5 Inshore Bottlenose Dolphins
12noon Adventure: fog disipated = sunny afternoon
2 Gray Whales
9 Inshore Bottlenose Dolphins (5+4=9)
MS (thank you sir!) called us about the bottlenose dolphins on the afternoon trip. When we arrived on the scene, the dolphins were swimming in crystal clear blue water. I'll post the photos of them tomorrow morning. It was amazing. At one point the animals swam through a kelp forest and deliberately turned and twisted so the kelp fronds that rise up from the bottom caressed their skin.
