California Gray Whale Migration North

The Gray whale migration is on!

Whale Watching Report February 24, 2013

3 Gray whales migrating Common dolphins

Today was a great day for watching the gray whale migration north. With drop dead gorgeous conditions, we ran west, past “Counters Point” where the census team was busy counting northbound whales, and headed further to around the Naples Reef area. The 3 gray whales seemed to be a mating pod and there was a little rolling around, tail fluking, and so forth. It was a great example of why our area offers the best whale watching in southern California! For information on reservations, call Sea Landing at (805) 882 0088.
