Rope is a humpback whale glutton.

Humpback whale named Rope loves his food

Our long time humpback whale friend, Rope, and another humpback were in the area feeding today. Again the massive anchovy balls were the target species as the Condor watched Rope gorge herself for at least 3 hours straight. (Old timers may recall that Rope is seen every year in the Channel and is easily spotted by an old scar caused by and entanglement). The scar goes around her girth and quite easy to distinguish.

In addition to these two feasting ceataceans, at least 1,500 common dolphins were in the area.

What a day to be alive (unless you are an anchovy).
