Sat Aug 7 — Whale & Dolphin Report

Friends of ocean life, Wow! It was one of those rare calm, glassy days out on western the grounds today.  And there were dozens of whales scattered about, spouting here and there. Here is what the Condor Express closely watched today: 12  Humpback Whales 10 Blue Whales

1 Minke Whale (very fleeting, as always) 500 Common Dolphins (in three groups) 500 California Sea Lions 1 Blue Shark (6 ft)

1 Elephant Seal

6 tiny Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola)
