8 gray whales 1500 common dolphins 50 Risso’s dolphins 2 bald eagles
A fabulous day for wildlife in the Santa Barbara Channel. Gray whales were seen mid-Channel and out between Sta Rosa and Sta Cruz Island. The two bald eagles were perched together on the tip of Fraser Point. Common dolphins (Long beaks) were seen just outside SB Harbor, and the Risso’s were found as we left the Painted Cave. CIMWI released 3 rehab’d sea lions and special guest Dr. Jane Goodall was with us today.
