Sightings for Thurs. May 17:
The bottom line:
6 Humpback Whales ( more in the area)
1 Blue Whale
2 Fin Whales
700 Long-beaked Common Dolphins
9 Inshore Bottlenose Dolphins
Krill on the surface again today. One Humpback opened its giant yap and lunged on a patch of krill directly in front of the boat. It came out of the deep, out of nowhere. The juices and krill were flying in the breeze as our guests fired their cameras and cell phones. Oh, my God. Fins, blues, humpies, and two species of dolphins too? where's that “partridge in a pear tree?” YOU GOTTA GET OUT HERE AND SEE THIS STUFF WHILE IT LASTS. SERIOUSLY.
