Two individual juvenile humpbacks - great conditions

Captain Devin and his crew ran a pair of excursions today, one at 9a and the other at 12n. Seas were calm and skies were sunny. Two individual humpback whales were watched closely.
The first whale was found south of Platform Holly where it was feeding on the plentiful surface schools of northern anchovies. The whale was seen sideways lunging (see today’s photograph). It was a phenomenal episode.
Later in the day, a smaller juvenile was swimming around, mostly in one direction: travel mode. Some tail flukes were seen.
You never know what mother nature has in store.
