Whale Report – Thurs Sept 2nd

Friends of Whales, Again we see Blues and Humpbacks together on the feeding grounds doing what they do best:   feeding!  Surface feeding is fairly rare since most of the krill are below the surface during a “normal” August, but the water is cooler than normal, and something is driving the krill up.  What a spectacle!  Here is what the Condor Express closely watched today:

2 Blue Whales  10 Humpback Whales 200 California Sea Lions

Both species of whales were feeding right next to the boat at times, and one Humpie took off for a complete, total body out of the water, spectacular breach!  Wow!

Many more spouts and lunges were seen in the distance.  Of course, you never know on a day to day basis what mother nature has in store.  But it is always an amazing day full of sea creatures and adventures on the high seas when the Condor Express leaves the dock at 10am daily.  Hope to see you and your associates out there…

Sign up now and tell your friends.  Call 1-888-77WHALE or 805-882-0088 to get your name on the list before all the spots fill up. Photographs from today's adventure will be available online tomorrow on the boat photo site: www.CondorExpressPhotos.com Best fishes and have a WHALE of a day !
