Four different cetacean species again today !

2015 04-05 SB Coast

Captain Eric was at the helm for both trips today.   There was a fresh breeze but it only made spotting spouts easier in the sun.   Four different species of cetaceans were encountered, as follows:

9am. The Condor Express ran west and found 5 coastal bottlenose dolphins. Later, near Coal Oil Point (aka, Counter Point, because it is a northbound gray whale census location) a single gray whale was observed close to the inshore kelp beds.

Noon. At noon we enjoyed the company of at least 100 long-beaked common #dolphins and then, only 2 miles or so south of Campus Point, we watched a very nice humpback #whale.

You never know what Mother Nature has in store. Bob Perry Condor Express
