It’s the mom and baby gray whales show !

Ideal conditions, bright sunny and flat, were reported by Captain Dave on the Condor today. Did I mention that we are getting the final push of gray whales through our area now…and it’s always the cow-calf pairs? Well, today’s results should be a good indication of where things are going to be heading for the next week or two. FOUR cow-calf pairs were observed today with these great conditions. If that was not enough, after the last cow-calf pair headed north (west) along came two juvenile whales, perhaps yearlings, that started BREACHING ! One reportedly breached at least six times in a row. Wow. To top off the already fantastic day full of cetaceans, 18 inshore bottlenose dolphins played with the boat.
