2018 08-16 SB Channel
Captain Colton reports a great day with clear skies and glassy surface conditions in the Santa Barbara Channel. He and his crew saw a total of 2500 long-beaked common dolphins and 1 humpback whale.
The first group of dolphins located the Condor Express outside the harbor, and the dolphins continued all day, everywhere we went. All had great looks at these magnificent cetaceans.
After an extended dolphin visit, Colton changed course and headed west to find a single humpback in The Lanes. Again, it was a great sighting and includes one very close visit by the whale alongside the boat.
