California gray whale season coming soon

California gray whale season is right around the corner. Today was ideal conditions with calm seas and very sunny skies. We spotted our humpback whale friend Rope and a second humpback entertained the Condor Express people for a long time today.

Sunny, clear and warm conditions felt more like summer out there in the Santa Barbara Channel. Again we had hundreds of feeding long beaked common dolphins all around the area.

Whale Watching Report for Friday, October 26: 2 Humpback whales 900 Common dolphins

Reminder: There are two days left until the Condor Express hauls out for annual maintenance and inspection. Sign up now to join us on Saturday or Sunday. We won’t be back in the water again until November 21.
