Spectacular Dolphin Show – Both species of Common Dolphin !

Dolphin Lovers,

Captain Dave Beezer ran the the Condor Express up and down the island shelf break looking for wildlife today and closely observed the following:

2000 Short-Beaked Common Dolphins

50 Long-Beaked Common Dolphins Sea Lions

Harbor Seal (at Santa Cruz Island)

Mola mola (juv. – breached) Calm conditions and great dolphins today.  The first group of 50 Long Beaks featured a pale colored adult male (not quite an albino, but very pale).  This boy had plenty of libido and the XX-rated show, in crystal blue clear water, was educational if not a bit embarassing.  About an hour later we came up on a megapod of Short Beaks.  They were highly animated as always.  Leaping, breaching, twisting and turning…in and out of the waves…an amazing display for sure!  I'll post up my photos of this special Day of the Dolphins later this week, asap.

Call 888-77WHALE or 805-882-0088 to book your trip.

In addition to the expert crew on the Condor Express with over 35 years of experience, Channel Islands Naturalist Corps volunteer naturalists, representatives from the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and National Park, are usually on board and available to answer your questions during the trip.

Best fishes and have a WHALE of a day!
