2019 03-01 SB Coast
A single trip left the docks at 12 noon today and we found fantastic conditions along the coast of Santa Barbara. Although skies were overcast, the ocean surface was glassy and calm. Total sightings for the trip consisted of 4 gray whales.
The first two whales were located off Ledbetter and we followed them to Hendry’s Beach. Next, we ran out to a little deeper water and soon found another pair of whales. All four were very cooperative with short down times and a lot of fluking going on. All were northbound.
You never know what Mother Nature has in store.
