2020 02-25 SB Coast
We ran a single trip today which left the dock at 12 noon. Sea conditions were spectacular along the coast and made finding and watching the whales quite easy. Our sightings today consisted of six Pacific gray whales. All we’re heading northbound.
The whales were traveling in pairs. The first pair was located right off More Mesa and we followed it west up past UCSB. Captain Dave turned offshore at that point and a second pair was located about 5 miles out. After looping back to the east, the last pair we found was off the Montecito coast and we followed those 2 back to the harbor.
There was nothing strange, nothing weird, just nice easy-going whale watching the way Mother Nature intended.
