Whale extravaganza – Saturday, October 29

Whale lovers,

A true “Fall Classic” today as the Condor Express ran two Wildlife Tours and it was really wild.  Many balls of northern achovies were being attacked above and below.  The baleen whales, both Minkes and Humpies, were surface lunge feeding right next to the boat.  Baleen, pink palates, ventral grooves, anchovies leaping to escape the massive jaws of death….what a day!

TOMORROW (SUNDAY'S) ADVENTURE WILL BE THE LAST TRIP UNTIL THANKSGIVING !  THE BOAT IS BEING HAULED OUT FOR BI-ANNUAL MAINTENANCE.  SO COME ON OUT AND SEE THIS NATURAL SPECTACLE WHILE YOU CAN !!

Here's the final scorecard:

MORNING TRIP:

1 Humpback Whale

5 Minke Whales 400 Common Dolphins 500 California Sea Lions

AFTERNOON TRIP:

5 Humpback Whale

2 Minke Whales 800 Common Dolphins 500 California Sea Lions
