Captain Eddy and the crew ran a single noon excursion with clear/hazy skies, calm seas, and crystal clear water. Sightings for the trip included 15 humpback whales and 2000 common dolphins.

There was a giant birdnado just south of The Farm and it attracted a megapod of 2000 dolphins followed by approximately 8 humpback whales. Three of the whales started to mug the boat, and the leader, the largest, got super close to our hulls. It swam upside down, rolled around, went underneath the bow and spent a full hour posing for selfies. The dolphins and the whales also got engaged in sub-surface feeding along with the birds.

A short jaunt to the east resulted in another 6 or 7 actively surface feeding whales. There were a lot of surface lunges as the anchovy supply seemed endless.

You never know what Mother Nature has in store.
