2019 06-22 SB Channel
Dave and the team on board the Condor Express had yet another epic excursion in the Santa Barbara Channel. Conditions were great and wildlife was very abundant. Totals for the trip included: 15+ humpback whales, and 3000+ long-beaked common dolphins. What a day!
Dave reports seeing activity areas rich with both whales and dolphins throughout the entire Channel, both coming and going today. There was never a time when we weren’t watching wildlife. This is truly an epic time of year, and the panoramic views of all this cetacean abundance is magnificent and should not be missed.
Among the tail flukes seen today there was a pure white one and one that had a white tail completely rimmed or framed in black. There were also several very friendly whales. They came right up to the boat and swam by so that everybody had plenty of photo ops.
