4 different cetacean species today, 3 of them big, 2 very very big

2015 05-31 SB Channel

Captain Eric that the crew of the Condor Express started the excursion today at 800am with a visit to The Flats. Here they found at least 6 humpback whales.   The #whales put on a show with surface lunge feeding, rolling around and fluking up.   Leaving The Flats in the jet wash, the next sightings were near the west end of Santa Cruz Island. Here, among the 1,500 or so long-beaked common dolphins, one giant blue whale and one very big fin whale were located. The #dolphins were mixing it up with the whales, riding their nose waves and so forth.   The day was very overcast and super calm. We returned on schedule at 1230pm.
