Captain Devin and the crew ran a single morning trip with a fresh breeze, chunky seas and blue skies. Sightings of 4 gray whales were phenomenal.
As the Condor Express rounded the point and moved slowly west along the Mesa beaches, we encountered 2 gray whale mother-calf pairs. There was a little rolling around before one pair took the lead over the other. We followed the lead pair and watched spy hops, pectoral fins in the air, tail waves and (similar to what is shown in the above photo) bubble blasts by the calf!
You never know what mother nature has in store.
