Coastal whale watching remains hot.

Captain Dave and his crew report another nice day in the northeast Channel today. Five Minke whales were observed and a couple of them gave very good looks close to the Condor Express. A total of 3 humpback whales included the same mother and calf pair we saw yesterday, plus that big adult whale with the concave back that seems to “bit the air” and expose its baleen. We’re thinking about nicknaming this whale “Chops” or “Chomps,” or something like that. The mother in the cow calf pair rolled around a bit and the two came close to the boat again like they did yesterday.

Less dolphins, perhaps 500, and seabird masses were found down on the Flats today.

best regards Bob Perry Condor Express
