Nature Lovers, Calm conditions AGAIN continue in the Channel, with sunny skies and great cetacean-spotting visibility …and this is what the Condor Express watched closely:
7 Blue Whales 2 Humpbacks 1 Minke Whale 10 Pacific White-sided Dolphins 30 Common Dolphins
Some krill on the surface now, with both Blues and Humpbacks lunge feeding. Most curious, though, was a juvenile Blue Whale exhibiting “racing behavior,” and almost breaching in the process. Unusual to see but lots of fun. Also, many more spouts out in the area. Sign up now to see the show, you never know what Mother Nature has in store for you in the way of fabulous sightings when you come on board. Make your reservations now and see the Humpbacks, Blues, plus whatever else is happening out there in our wonderful Channel. We are truly fortunate to live and play where we do, and this is the best it gets as far as the early Summer season goes.
Breaching in front of the Painted Cave, which took place Saturday, and other good images of the day are now online at: https://www.CondorExpressPhotos.com
