Captain Eddy and the crew ran a single 9 A excursion under mostly sunny skies. There was a light breeze and not much swell which made for a wonderful wildlife viewing. Totals for the trip included 2 humpback whales and 5 common dolphins.
We had great looks, and spent quite a bit of time with a pair of adult humpback whales which we found 8 miles SW of the Harbor. They were mostly in “slow travel mode” to the E, but towards the end of the sighting, one of the whales did 6 or 8 powerful tail throws. (See today’s photo for an example).
Just outside the Harbor, on the way back in, we followed five common dolphins.
You never know what mother nature has in store.
