Southern California Gray Whale Migration

Talley: 20 gray whales 40 Risso’s dolphins

Capt Mat ran between Santa Rosa Island and Santa Cruz Island to find a mother lode of migrating gray whales. At one point there was a cluster of 8 whales that stayed up for 20 min. The Risso’s Dophins were along the north face of Santa Cruz Island traveling at high speeds to the west…very dramatic! This is a great time of year to see the southern California gray whale migration!
