It was yet another marvelous day for weather and sea conditions! Skies were mostly blue all day, and seas were calm. Sightings for the trip included:  600 long beaked common dolphins, and 4 humpback whales.

Captain Dave and the crew took the Condor Express southwest to a position about 3 miles southwest of the Kelp Farm. There were 4 humpback whales in the area. We had time to closely follow 2 of them. These were large adults that were spending a lot of time feeding subsurface. A regular cycle of six minute downtime, followed by a long surface/breathing intervals was maintained.

Later we moved 2 miles to the northwest, in the general direction of Goleta Bay. There, we found and watched about 600 long-beaked common dolphins. Great looks for had by all.
