Tons of cetacean antics in the breeze.

Friends of the best Santa Barbara Whale Watching,

Here are the species we watched closely today:

19 Humpback Whales (more in the binocular range)

6 Blue Whales (others seen in the area)

300 Common Dolphins

A windy, exhirating day out on the Channel with tons of cetaceans everywhere.  Again Barnacle Betty and her Humpback buddies entertained the Condor Express with their very friendly, close approaches to say hello.  Others breached several times, and some lobbed their tails…all in all it was a spectacular day to be out on the whale grounds.

ALERT:  SAT. JULY 21 IS AN ALL DAY PRIVATE CHARTER FOR PELAGIC BIRDING.  WE'LL BE BACK ON OUR REGULAR WHALING SCHEDULE THIS SUNDAY.

Call 888-77WHALE or 805-882-0088 to book your trip.

In addition to the expert crew on the Condor Express with over 35 years of experience, Channel Islands Naturalist Corps volunteer naturalists, representatives from the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and National Park, are usually on board and available to answer your questions during the trip.

Best fishes, have a WHALE of a day and OCEANS of fun!
