Whale-o-Rama Thurs Nov 4
Santa Barbara Channel Lovers, Well it's November 4th and summer is finally here. What a spectacular day on the Channel today, as Captain Mat took the Eastern route and was not disappointed… …this is what the Condor Expressly saw: 700 Common Dolphins 4 Humpbacks (including our pal “Rope” and more Humpbacks not counted in the distance) 10 Risso's Dolphins 100 Sea Lions I know I'm going out on a limb with this theory, but it is my careful hypothesis that we have a dozen or so Humback Whales that may hang around through the winter. These whales have not left for Costa Rica and the Sea of Cortez, and may not be taking part in the mating and calving rituals down south. Here it is November 4 and still plenty of Humpbacks around. Let's wait and see how this theory plays out in the weeks and months ahead.
What a day! Remember, we are the only full time whale watching boat on the Channel these days and we run trips W, Th, F, Sa and Sun. You never know on a day to day basis what mother nature has in store. But it is always an amazing day full of sea creatures and adventures on the high seas when the Condor Express leaves the dock every day at 10am regularly. And if that is not enough to excite you and your customers, the Condor Express is now officially on its “off season” ticket price schedule: $75 for adults and only $50 for kids. Get the best for less! Sign up now and tell your friends. There should be plenty of spots available for our next trip, but the only way to guarantee you'll have a ticket to board is to make a reservation if you have time, SO call 1-888-77WHALE or 805-882-0088 to get your name on the list. Photographs from most weekend and holidays are available online at www.CondorExpressPhotos.com I'll be on board Saturday with my camera if you want to get your face in the shots with the whales behind you. Best fishes and have a WHALE of a day ! Bob Perry Condor Express
